 Glenn Galang

Founder / General Manager / HEAD COACH

A 1988 graduate of St. Peter Chanel HS, where he earned 8 varsity letters in Baseball, Football and Basketball. Awarded numerous NCL, (North Coast League) and All Ohio honors in Baseball and Football. Played baseball in college but knee injury ended his college career.

 

Glenn and his wife Marianne have 2 children, Devin and Brianna. First granddaughter Isabelle Grace. The family have 2 dogs: Cambri & Franki. 2 other dogs, Brandi & Max have passed on to the “Rainbow Bridge” Family lives in Independence, Ohio. 

Founded e80 Baseball in 2004. The goal was to give talented kids who cannot afford the cost of travel baseball an opportunity to play against club teams. The teams compete in state and out of state national tournaments. it also competes in the Ohio Prospect League & The Diamond League. e80 IronPigs Baseball is a non-profit organization and affordable to its’ athletes. e80 Baseball IronPigs also had a 22U collegiate team, competed in the Diamond Collegiate League and NABF. This team have qualified and had success in the NABF Collegiate World Series in Toledo, Ohio. 

Coach Galang is a member of ABCA, American Baseball Coaches Association.

Coach Nick LaBella

15U Head Coach

Coach Nick brings experience from both playing and teaching backgrounds. A 1985 graduate from Garfield Hts. High School, Nick earned all L.E.L Honors his senior year. Playing 3rd base and held 3 school records for many years in batting avg., RBI’s, and Triples. Nick went on to play Semi-Pro from 1986-1988 before turning his sights to coaching. Nick coached travel ball for 10 years before returning to his Alma Mater in 1996 to coach varsity baseball for the next 16 years. Nick also was the Head Coach for the Girls Fast Pitch Team at Garfield Hts. for 5 years before turning his focus on teaching & coaching his son in travel ball.

Coach Zac Lowther

Special Adviser Pitchers

Coach Lowther is a Cuyahoga Heights HS graduate (2013). He went on to play collegiately at Xavier University. After a successful career at the Division 1 college baseball level, Zac went on to sign with the Baltimore Orioles Organization.

Zac, son-in-law of coach Galang, helps out with the young pitchers when available.

Coach J.P. Sorma III

Hitting & Fielding

J.P. brings experience from both a playing and teaching background. He received a scholarship to The Ohio State University, but chose to transfer to Ashland University and play under John Schaly. J.P. was a top 25 Dll player in the country (Baseball America 2016), 2x All American & 2x National Hitter of the Week, set the HR record (19) for the SFCBL, # 2 all-time single season HR record (17) for Ashland, & was listed #14 pick in Ohio for the MLB draft (Baseball America 17'). He was offered a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2016. J.P. became head coach of the 14u and 15u Ohio Aces out of the diamond league for two years before being a private and personal coach.
